Israel estimates that between 1,000 and 1,500 members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian security forces have been killed in recent strikes, according to an Israeli source cited by The Jerusalem Post.

While some reports suggest higher casualty figures, Israeli officials are currently working with a more conservative estimate of over 1,000 fatalities among Iranian security personnel, the newspaper reported Monday.

The strikes began Saturday with Israel’s Operation Roaring Lion, followed by the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign Operation Epic Fury. Since then, Israeli forces have targeted facilities linked to the IRGC, the Basij militia, and Iranian government institutions.

On Monday, Israel carried out what officials described as a significant strike in Tehran, focusing on internal security emergency bases as well as Basij and IRGC installations. The military confirmed that more than 10 headquarters belonging to Iran’s Intelligence Ministry and IRGC-Quds Force positions were hit.

The Israel Air Force also struck surface-to-surface missile launchers, weapons production facilities, and additional IRGC Air Force sites.

Speaking during an intelligence assessment on Monday, IDF Intelligence Directorate Chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder said the operations were intended to demonstrate Israel’s reach.

“We were able to tactically surprise them, striking at an unexpected hour and catching our enemies mid-gathering. In 40 seconds, we eliminated more than 40 of the most important figures in Iran, and we are not finished,” Binder said.

Reflecting on the broader campaign, he added: “Over the past two years of war, we are sending a very clear message to our enemies: there is no place where we will not find them.”
