Maverick prophet operating in Ghana, Evans Eshun, has been taken into custody by the Ghanaian Police Service on New Year’s Eve after his prediction that the world would end on Christmas Day failed miserably with no flood in sight.
Local media outlets reported that many of Eshun’s adherents who followed him into the bible model arks he had built have since disembarked to catch up with their lives after there was no flood on Christmas day as the so-called prophet predicted.
Oracle Intelligence gathered that the said scantily clad prophet popularly called Ebo Noah who wears disused grain sacks in Ghana was arrested by a special enforcement under orders from the Inspector General of Police.
Noah captured worldwide attention after claiming he had received a vision from God that the world would end on Christmas Day, 2025, following a massive flood.
In preparation, he built two large arks, inviting anyone who wished to escape the predicted deluge to join him.
According to reports from the Ghanaian news outlet Yen, Noah was taken into custody at the orders of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
His arrest was carried out by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting team. While authorities have not revealed all the details of his arrest, it is believed to be connected to his failed doomsday prediction.
It is also worth mentioning that earlier in 2025, Noah had also faced arrest. He was later released after officials ruled that making religious prophecies did not constitute a criminal offence.
Thousands of followers had reportedly sold their belongings in anticipation of Noah’s predicted doomsday.
When Christmas Day arrived, the prophet announced that heaven would not open that day, leaving many stranded and confused.
Noah explained that God had appeared to him again and postponed the day of salvation, claiming he needed more time to build additional arks as the number of people who would make it to heaven had been increased.
