Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Corporation, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, is set to join leading energy executives and policymakers at the 25th anniversary edition of NOG Energy Week 2026, where she will contribute to discussions on the future of Africa’s gas economy and the continent’s quest to build globally competitive energy hubs.

The event, scheduled to hold at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, will bring together stakeholders from across the energy value chain to examine opportunities and challenges shaping the industry’s future.

Joe-Ezigbo will participate in a strategic panel session themed “Realising Future Gas Economies – Building Secure, Integrated and Globally Competitive Hubs,” a discussion expected to focus on how African countries can leverage their abundant natural gas resources to drive industrialisation, expand energy access, strengthen regional integration and enhance economic resilience.

Her participation comes at a time when several African countries, including Nigeria, are increasingly positioning natural gas as a transition fuel capable of supporting industrial development while addressing persistent energy deficits. With more than three decades of experience spanning both local and international gas markets, Joe-Ezigbo is expected to offer practical insights into the policies, infrastructure investments and partnerships required to unlock the sector’s full potential.

Beyond her role at Falcon Corporation, she has played prominent leadership roles within the gas industry, including serving as the first female president of the Nigerian Gas Association. She has also been actively involved in global industry advocacy through the International Gas Union, where she has championed initiatives aimed at promoting energy security, industrial growth and regional competitiveness.

Speaking ahead of the conference, Joe-Ezigbo said the debate around Africa’s gas resources must move beyond questions of resource availability to focus on how countries can build integrated energy ecosystems that generate sustainable economic value.

According to her, the priority should be creating gas infrastructure and market frameworks capable of stimulating industrial growth, encouraging regional collaboration, attracting long-term investment and delivering broad-based economic benefits.

She described NOG Energy Week as one of the continent’s most important platforms for advancing discussions around infrastructure development, local content participation and practical energy solutions tailored to Africa’s unique realities.

Joe-Ezigbo noted that the conference presents an opportunity for industry leaders to collectively explore pathways toward building gas-powered economies that are secure, resilient and commercially competitive while supporting long-term prosperity across the continent.

As co-founder and chief executive of Falcon Corporation, she has overseen the growth of one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous gas and energy infrastructure companies, with interests spanning natural gas distribution, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage, trading and infrastructure development.

Her contributions to the industry have earned widespread recognition, including being listed among the 100 Outstanding Female Executives in the African oil and gas sector.

Founded in 1994, Falcon Corporation Limited operates across Nigeria’s midstream and downstream gas sectors. As a licensed local distribution company, it develops and manages gas infrastructure supplying natural gas to industrial and commercial customers in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The company has also expanded its footprint in the LPG segment through investments in storage, trading and distribution infrastructure, including an LPG tank farm and jetty facility.

Falcon is additionally part of a consortium with Optimera Energy executing a 20-year gas infrastructure development project in partnership with Lagos Free Zone to establish a gas distribution network serving businesses operating within the zone.
