NGX trading remains bullish, as market capitalisation closes at N156.79trn
Trading, Wednesday, at the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) continued its bullish run as the all-share index (ASI) of listed equities closed higher by 0.31 per cent.

Investor sentiment was strong, pushing market capitalisation up by N480.15 billion to close at N156.79 trillion with ASI advanced further by 0.31 per cent to close at 244,455.70 points.

Wednesday’s trading ended with 1.20 billion shares in volume, valued at N51.36 at billion that exchanged hands in 56,880 deals compared with the previous NGX trading day (Monday, June 8).
Tuesday’s data showed a 104 per cent improvement in volume, 110 per cent improvement in turnover, but 22 per cent decline in deals.
The market breadth closed positive with 33 gainers and 32 decliners.
AirtelAfri led the gainers chart, with 10.00 per cent profit to close at N4, 021.20, followed by Intenegins with +9.90 per cent and AbbeyBDS recorded a +9.76 per cent profit.
LearnAfrica paced the losers’ chart with a 10.00 per cent drop on its share price to close at N9.45. Other major decliners included NAHCO, Fidson and Guinness.
Meanwhile, SterlingNG was the most traded stock by volume with over 714 million shares changing hands, while Aradel led in total value traded.
The sectoral Indices indicates that the broader market continued to show resilience across key segments, with the NGX Banking Index and the NGX Pension Index recording steady gains, while the NGX Oil & Gas Index experienced minor profit-taking.
