Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has announced plans to host the 2026 Oil and Gas Midstream and Downstream Stakeholders Summit as part of efforts to deepen collaboration, investment and policy engagement across Nigeria’s energy sector.

The announcement which was signed by the General Manager in charge of Corporate Communications, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, stated that the two-day summit is scheduled to hold from May 19 to May 20, 2026, at Four Points by Sheraton Lagos in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the organizers, the event will bring together key decision-makers from across the oil and gas value chain, including government officials, regulators, institutional investors, financiers, operators and engineering, procurement and construction contractors to explore emerging opportunities within Nigeria’s rapidly evolving midstream and downstream sectors.

The summit will be hosted by the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Felix Omatsola Ogbe.

The board said the summit comes against the backdrop of reforms introduced under the Petroleum Industry Act, which it noted has continued to strengthen transparency and improve the investment climate within the oil and gas industry.

According to NCDMB, the event is expected to serve as a strategic platform for stakeholder engagement, partnership development and investment promotion across the midstream and downstream segments of the sector.

Expected participants include senior executives from oil and gas companies, midstream and downstream operators, regulatory agencies, government representatives, technical experts and other professionals within the energy industry.

The summit will also focus on discussions surrounding the implementation of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010 and the Ministerial Regulations 2021, while exploring pathways for sustainable growth within the sector.

In addition, the board said the event would provide an opportunity to unveil the new NCDMB Midstream and Downstream Operating Model, alongside discussions on current industry challenges, policy direction and emerging business opportunities.

Participants are expected to gain insights into regulatory developments, Nigerian content initiatives and investment opportunities, while also benefiting from networking sessions with major stakeholders and industry leaders.

NCDMB stated that participation at the summit will be strictly by invitation, although attendance will be free for invited stakeholders.
