Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited made a strong statement at the 43rd Annual International Conference of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists, held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. The company won four awards, including the highly coveted Overall Best Exhibitor and Best Technical Paper Presentation.

Principal Geoscientist Owens Ovwigho Irifeta earned the Best Technical Paper Award for his work titled “Safely Navigating the Dual Challenges of Depleted Reservoirs and High Pressure while Drilling.” Renaissance also won Best Overall Exhibition, Best Exhibiting Indigenous Exploration and Production Company, and Best New Entrant.

The NAPE Executive Committee said Renaissance stood out among a record number of exhibiting companies and technical submissions, reflecting the company’s growing presence in Nigeria’s upstream sector.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tony Attah praised the team for its focus and drive, noting that the awards align with Renaissance’s mission to support Nigeria’s energy goals.

“This recognition affirms our trajectory of growth and our commitment to supporting Nigeria’s energy ambitions. We remain focused on increasing oil and gas output to boost government revenues, catalyze industrialization, and develop young energy talent,” Attah said.

He added that the strong performance at NAPE reflects Renaissance’s vision to become Africa’s leading energy company while advancing energy security and industrialization in a sustainable way. He dedicated the awards to the company’s workforce, noting their resilience since Renaissance acquired Shell’s stake in the former SPDC earlier this year.

The company also secured similar honors in August at the Society of Petroleum Engineers 2025 Annual Conference.

Renaissance operates the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR joint venture, Nigeria’s largest oil and gas JV, with assets across onshore and shallow offshore fields, the Bonny and Forcados export terminals, and the Sea Eagle FPSO in the Niger Delta.
