United Capital Plc is planning memorial service to honour the six members of its staff who died in the Afriland Towers in Lagos last week.

The tower houses offices of the United Bank for Africa, the Federal Inland Revenue Service, and United Capital Plc recorded fire incident, leading to uncontrolled panic and tragic attempts by workers to escape.

Some of the workers from different establishments housed in the building, it was gathered, jumped from upper floors; leading to loss of about 10 lives.

United Capital came online on Monday with the names and pictures of its young workers who died in the incident, lamenting that their painful loss leaves an immeasurable void.

The company stated on its official X page that Jesutoni Shodipo, Kehinde Adeoye, Ndidi Osaemedike-Okeke, Olumide Oyefodunrin, Opeyemi Oloyede, and Rebecca Adenuga were lost in the tragic incident.

The company stated that the loss of the employees w as so immeasurable that it has left a permanent void in United Capita and their respective families.

In commiserating with the families of the late employees, United Capital pledged continued support to them during the mourning period.

The planned memorial service, according to the company, is to honour the departed with dignity and solemnity.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” the company stated.
