The Super Eagles of Nigeria has received significant morale boost for the upcoming semi-final match as billionaire businessman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, hauls in N2.205 billion cash rewards to ginger the Nigerian side beat the Moroccan opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The business mogul has promised a $500,000 bonus if Nigeria knock out Morocco, plus $50,000 for every goal they score.

Rabiu who is the chairman of BUA Group made the announcement on social media after Nigeria’s 2–0 win over Algeria in Marrakech sent them into the last group of four remaining contestants in the tournament.

And the bag of incentives is not empty yet.

If the Super Eagles go all the way and lift the AFCON trophy, Rabiu says he will hand over $1 million, with an extra $100,000 per goal in the final.

Nigeria, three-time African champions, face Morocco on Wednesday, January 14, with a place in the final and a massive payday on the line.

Rabiu is one of Nigeria’s richest men and a regular power broker in African business. His BUA Group is a heavyweight conglomerate with major interests in cement, sugar, flour, and infrastructure, employing thousands across Nigeria and beyond.

The company is a fierce rival to Aliko Dangote’s industrial empire and has become one of the country’s fastest-growing manufacturing giants.

Now, Rabiu is betting big that his cash boost can fire up the Super Eagles and spoil the party for the Moroccan hosts.
