A Turkish woman has filed a paternity lawsuit claiming that U.S. President Donald Trump is her biological father and is seeking a court-ordered DNA test to prove it.
The claimant, Necla Ozmen, 55, who lives in Ankara, filed the case at the Ankara 27th Family Court on September 25. The court dismissed the petition shortly after it was filed, citing a lack of evidence. Ozmen has since lodged an appeal.

According to court documents and media interviews, Ozmen was born in 1970 and is officially registered in Turkey’s civil records as the daughter of Sati and Dursun Ozmen, the couple who raised her. She claims she later learned she had been adopted, and that Sati Ozmen told her the truth in 2017.
Ozmen alleges that a baby swap occurred at a hospital in Turkey around the time of her birth, most likely in Ankara. She claims that Sati Ozmen gave birth to a stillborn baby, while another woman delivering at the same hospital — a U.S. citizen identified only as Sophia — handed over her newborn child.
According to Ozmen, the woman said the baby was the result of a “forbidden relationship” with Trump and asked the Ozmen family to raise and register the child as their own. Ozmen alleges that her adoptive mother was shown a photograph of Trump and was told he was the child’s father.
Ozmen has asked the courts to establish paternity and order genetic testing. In interviews with Turkish media, she said she does not know how Trump and the woman identified as Sophia may have met.
“I don’t want to cause him any trouble. I just want to know the truth,” Ozmen told DHA Press.
“I want to know whether he is my father. I can prove it through a DNA test if he agrees,” she said, adding that she believes Trump would be willing to speak with her.
The court rejected the original petition due to what it described as insufficient evidence. Ozmen is appealing the decision and has also sent petitions to the U.S. Embassy and to courts in the United States.
There has been no public response from Trump or his representatives regarding the claim.
