The Resident Ambassador of the State of African Diaspora (SOAD) Nigeria, Princess Evelyn Eyo-Honesty, has disclosed that a cooperation agreement between SOAD and the Cross River State Government can unlock $500m investments into the state.

Princess Eyo-Honesty made this known during an interactive session in Calabar urged the state government to expedite action on signing the agreement.

According to her, the agreement would facilitate the release of the $500m grant, which would be channeled through the Central Bank of Nigeria to support economic development in the state.

“This is a critical investment that would boost the state’s economy and improve the lives of its citizens.”

The partnership aims to promote sustainable bilateral relationships and cooperation between Cross River State and SOAD.

The proposed agreement would facilitate various projects, including smart city development, renewable Energy with solar energy park, industrial park, Agribusiness hub, education, airport expansion and a medical complex.

Princess Eyo-Honesty emphasized that the agreement would be a win-win for both parties, promoting economic development and cooperation.

Cross River State, she added can tap into the $500m investment and embark on crucial development projects that would improve the lives of its citizens.
