The Cross River State Local Government Service Commission has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

Mr. Darlington Bassey, Chairman of the Commission, acknowledged the vision and sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers, whose dream of a united and indivisible nation became a reality on October 1, 1960.
The Commission commended the commitment of Governor Senator Bassey Edet Otu’s administration to advancing governance and development in Cross River State.
Notably, the administration completed and commissioned the Local Government Service Commission Secretariat, a project abandoned for over two decades.
The Commission also appreciated the governor’s approvals of promotions, recruitments, and staff training, which have strengthened local government administration and ensured effective service delivery.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the “Season of Sweetness” at the grassroots, from the creeks of Bakassi to the hills of Obanliku. “As a Commission, we remain committed to advancing the ‘Season of Sweetness’ at the grassroots,” Mr. Bassey stated.
