President of WIEN, Mrs Eyono Fatai-Williams, is leading a team of power women from Nigeria to deliver immense contributions to global debate on the role of gas in meeting the energy requirement of homes, industries and commercial enterprises as the world embarks on a journey into low carbon energy.

Organized by DMG Events, sponsored by global petroleum industry and technology leaders, and hosted in Milan, Italy; Gastech 2025 brings together over 1,000 speakers from government, ministers and C-suite executives, policymakers and innovators.

Gastech provides platforms for one of the world’s largest exhibitions and conferences for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, climate technologies and AI in energy. The event convenes energy sector leaders, policymakers and innovators to powerful debates on powering progress and transforming the future of energy.

The Milan conference and exhibition would be the 53rd year Gastech would champion the role of natural gas in delivering affordable, reliable, low carbon energy to meet rising global energy demands.

Across four days at Gastech, Mrs Fatai-Williams would lead other WIEN members including the group’s Vice President in charge of Gas, Dr Sophia Horsfall, to engage 50,000 attendees from over 150 countries, 1,000 exhibitors and 1,000 expert speakers in debates and networking opportunities that unite the world’s leading energy professionals to shape the emerging global energy ecosystem.

Both Eyono and Sophia are in the lean group of Africa’s most powerful gas industry female professionals with vast exposure to industry management issues. They also share deep understanding of innovative solutions that could resolve the prevailing conflict between rising energy demand and growing climate change concerns.

With the recognition of the resource as cleanest fossil fuel, Nigeria’s rising gas potentials, and the challenge of driving national economy with a mix of domestic supply satiation and export revenue opportunities, Mrs Fatai-Williams and Dr Horsefall will draw from their shared experience on the role of General Manager in charge of External Relations and Sustainable Development and the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited to advance Nigeria’s position in providing the world sustainable and acceptable transition fuel.

Executive Secretary of WIEN, Engr Asanimo Omezi, stated that “WIEN will be represented at the conference by two phenomenal women shaping the future of energy.”

She enjoined members and partners of the group to join the global conversation on driving diversity, innovation, and sustainability within the energy industry.

Oracle Intelligence reports that WIEN is a powerhouse of unparalleled gas women who continue to stamp the group’s brand with professional excellence.

Mr Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, for instance, is the Managing Director of Falcon Corporation Limited; a company that operates the gas distribution franchise that fires industrial activities in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The company also holds other gas portfolios and partnerships that assist government deepen penetration of natural gas into the domestic market.

Mrs Joe-Ezigbo is also former President of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) whose tenure saw great and inspiring policy movements in the industry. She championed one of the boldest industry engagements with government on fiscal and policy regimes that govern operations in the industry.

Audrey is also among the few African women to sit on the board of International Gas Union (IGU).

Engr Chichi Emenike is the Gas Asset Manager and Acting Managing Director of Neconde Energy. The company is in exploration and production joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and holds huge gas asset portfolio.

Down the line, several other WIEN members lead gas business development in various companies that play across the full energy valuechain.

Thus, the global gas community continues to explore full partnership with WIEN in shaping global energy future through policy debates, exhibitions, conferences, learning solutions and empowerment programmes.
