The Victory Day military parade by China on Wednesday appears to be an unveiling of a new global military alliance that the country’s President, Xi Jingping, currently presides. Events at the parade went beyond traditional military entertainment to indicate emergence of a strong military and diplomatic power bloc that challenges the NATO hegemony.

Monitoring the developments in Beijing’s Tiananmen Gate from our Lagos locations, Oracle Intelligence can report that the Victory Day parade and participation also showed a sharp departure from diplomatic, trade and military cooperation with the Western economic and military coalition that has ruled the world since the world wars.

China was a significant front in World War II; and the Japanese invasion before WWII and the conflict itself had killed millions of Chinese people. The war had ended when the United States responded to Japanese attack on its forces. The US had gone after Japan with world’s first atomic bombs, which forced a shocked Japan into surrender.

Thus, the victory of the allied forces over Nazi Germany and the Japanese empire was crucial to survival of China as a people and as a nation. But relations between China and the United States have soured across time over global economic hegemony and polarized political idealism. Whereas Japan was warmed to the US on democratic principles, China followed communist ideology alongside North Korea and other countries; creating an ideological divide.

Global watchers witnessed unveiling of series of novel weapons as Beijing showed its strength as a global alternative to the US military leadership.

On display at the event was a vast array of formidable war innovations that include the new Ying Ji (eagle attack) YJ-15 hypersonic missile which is designed to pierce through large vessels and can be launched from ships or aircraft and. There was also the new Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) with its flagship AJX002; a sea drone of over 18 metres in length and is designed to operate in stealth.

Then came the three new types of nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Dong Feng-61, Dong Feng-31BJ and Dong Feng-5C. The DF-5C liquid-fueled intercontinental strategic nuclear missile which has a range exceeding 20,000 kilometres, can carry up to a dozen warheads on one single missile; putting the entire world in Beijing’s strike range.

In the aerial power race, China showed the world its the HQ-29 which is capable of taking down foreign satellites with one blow.

The event which was also more elaborate than its past versions, took the dimension of a conference of new allies.  And the three leading despots in the new bloc staged powerful public shows to demonstrate a new platform for collaboration and external cooperation.

President Xi Jinping, speaking before the parade, said that humanity today must choose between peace and war and between dialogue and confrontation. He also called for the eradication of the roots of war to prevent history from repeating itself.

Leaders of NATO member countries and their allies did not attend show but they watched closely. And US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to demand recognition of his country’s role in saving China from dominate Japanese forces during the World War II.

He chided President Xi for choosing to ‘conspire against NATO’ instead of honoring many brave Americans that sacrificed their lives in China’s quest for victory and glory.

“The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and ‘blood’ that the United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its freedom from a very unfriendly foreign invader,” President Trump questioned.

In his message on the ceremony, Trump said: “May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-un, as you conspire against the United States of America.”

Oracle Intelligence reports that diplomats across the sphere have been delicately managing relationships that are falling out of hand among civilian dictators in Russia, China and North Korea on the one hands, and democratic rulers in America and Europe.

The widening diplomatic chasm has built tensions that precipitate imperial goals manifesting wars and threats of conquests as frosty relations with NATO allied led by the United States begin unsettle leaders in China, Russia and North Korea who have maintained strong grip on power with authoritarian regimes.

Thus, neighbors to the three countries are now seen as enemy satellites and real threats to regimes that struggle to hold internal dissent in strict check.

Russia is in active invasion of Ukraine for dreaming NATO membership. China is sounding serious warning against pushing NATO protected Taiwan into any moves towards complete independence. And North Korean is in direct belligerence towards its America protected, industrialized and more prosperous South Korea.

The three leaders and their minions including Iran, Belarus and other communist aligned countries in America, Middle East and Asia obviously desire and are working hard to establish a balance of power against the West. And China has been showing great leadership with economic, diplomatic and military strength that begin to earn the bloc increasing international confidence and followership.

While NATO members essentially populate and dominate the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the China led coalition have formed and are recruiting developing nations into the BRICS economic alliance platform established by founding members: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Besides BRICS, China has for decades now been offering stringent credit facilities for development of infrastructure in mainly African and Asian economies, using the credit lines also as means of exporting its indigenous companies into markets where European construction giants have dominated for decades.

Oracle Intelligence reports that what China appears to have established with the 2025 Victory Day parade is not just the country’s evolution; it has demonstrated leadership and responsibility for a balance of global economic and military power. It has offered umbrella to isolated countries like Russia and North Korea; sending a signal that alternative connection to global cooperation is possible without the United States and Europe.
