The topic forms the theme of the Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE) hosted by the Nigeria Council of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

NAICE has been held annually since past 48 years with a focus on connecting a global community of engineers, scientists, and related energy professionals to exchange knowledge, innovate, and advance their technical and professional competence.

The competencies in the industry center on exploration, development, and production of oil and gas and related energy resources to achieve a safe, secure, and sustainable energy future, as well as providing an E&P marketplace for sub-Saharan Africa, the group stated.

Over the years NAICE has grown to become the largest upstream Oil and Gas event in Africa attracting industry regulators, high-level government officials, petroleum technology professionals and other key oil and gas industry stakeholders.
