Alternative Petroleum and Power Limited (APPL), on November 10, signed an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with Bergen Engines of Norway and Diesel Electric Pty Ltd of South Africa.
The EPC agreement which was signed at the Executive Chamber of Government House Calabar, Cross River State, is for construction of a 300 MW gas-fired power plant to be located at Odukpani Cross River State.

Earlier to the ceremony, the investment partners, consultants and contractors paid a joint courtesy visit to the Governor of the state, His Excellency, Senator Prof Ben Ayade, and his deputy, Prof Ivara Esu, at the Cross River State Government House, Calabar.
