The financial report also showed that profit after tax (PAT) rose to about N748 billion during the month under review, while crude oil and condensate production averaged around 1.61 million barrels per day. Natural gas production remained strong, underscoring the company’s efforts to boost output and improve operational efficiency.

NNPCL said key energy infrastructure projects continued to make progress, including the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline and the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline.

The company noted that ongoing investments in oil and gas assets are expected to support higher production levels and strengthen revenue generation.

It would be recalled that NNPCL has in recent months reported steady improvements in its financial performance as its March 2026 report showed revenue of N2.774 trillion and a profit after tax of N276 billion, indicating that April’s figures marked a substantial month-on-month increase.
