Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on Sunday visited the Igbo Ukwu country home of former govermor of the state Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife whose late wife,Mrs Njideka Ezeife was laid to rest recently .
Governor Soludo during the condolence visit commiserated with Dr Ezeife and family members over the death of his wife.
He described the late Mrs Ezeife as a woman of strong and impeccable character who stood firmly with her husband as the first democratically elected Governor of Anambra State when the State was created on August 27, 1991
He said the late Mrs Ezeife’s courageous disposition and her supportive role as wife and mother during her husband’s administration will always be remembered
Governor Soludo therefore comforted Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who is also a prominent Igbo leader and an elder statesman, over the painful loss of his dear wife and pray that God grant the deceased eternal rest and the Ezeife’s family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss
Mrs Ezeife died after a brief illness in an hospital in the United States late last year
