Hoodlums allegedly enforcing the now discredited sit-at-home order in Enugu State, Monday, reportedly killed two persons and set a Toyota Sienna car ablaze.
The driver of the burnt car was said to have been loading passengers early Monday morning to beat the sit-at-home order, when the hoodlums invaded the area.
The driver, it was gathered, was standing a distance away from his vehicle when the gunmen arrived in a mini bus
The attackers subsequently his Toyota Sienna car was up in flames.
Two persons were reported to have been shot dead during the attack.
Enugu Police Command could not be reached immediately for confirmation as at the time of filing this report.
Pro-secession group in the South East region, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) which instituted the sit-at-home to recognise its leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s continued detention, adjusted it to mark only the days he (Kanu) is to appear in court in his ongoing trial in Abuja, has distanced itself from enforcement of the order, as it blames hoodlums for taking advantage of the situation to wreak havoc on communities.
